Statistics Server 5.0 - Virtual Server - Look & Feel

Statistics Server supports different visual and language resources on a per Virtual Server basis. Look & Feel is used to select resources that have been registered with Statistics Server.

This example shows English selected from the list of resources.

Look & Feel resources are located on the Statistics Server host machine at:

\StatisticsServer\templates\<resourcename> Templates (*.def)

\StatisticsServer\templates\<resourcename>\graphics Graphics, Java and some HTML

\StatisticsServer\templates\<resourcename>\graphics\help Help files

The templates directory contains an initialization file that determines the name that will be displayed in the Look & Feel interface. Statistics Server scans the directory structure(s) outlined above looking for all lookfeel.ini files. It then uses the description field in each to create the drop-box containing alternate languages and designs.

\StatisticsServer\templates\<resourcename>\lookfeel.ini

The lookfeel.ini currently contains only one thing. "Desc" is the description that appears in the look & feel & language list.

Customizing Statistics Server

Many ISPs dig into the Statistics Server resources in order to display their logo, color and language throughout the Live Stats reports. Modifying these resources is okay with the following exceptions:

This is an unsupported ability of the software. This means MediaHouse Software personnel will not be available to help you debug any problems you encounter with the script language. All the same information is available in the Statistics Server support area at www.mediahouse.com. It discusses the script language and translation procedure.
You may not remove the MediaHouse Copyright notices. This would be in direct violation of the Statistics Server 5.x End User License Agreement.
